Email and phone

Verifying a sending domain and provisioning a number.

Set the email sender

Open Settings → General and expand Email sender identity. Enter a From name and a From address on a domain your business controls, then select Save sender. This identity is for booking confirmations, form notifications, inbox replies, and automation email. Sign-in, verification, password-reset, and invitation messages always use the platform sender.

Changing the From address clears its verification. For platform-managed email, Systemly uses the platform From address until the new domain is verified rather than sending as an unproven domain. A connected Resend or SendGrid account can instead use the verified From address saved in that integration. The provider shown on the card tells you which account is used.

Verify a managed sending domain

  1. Open Settings → Email & phone in the same workspace.
  2. Enter a domain you own under Send email from your own domain and select Add domain.
  3. Publish the DNS records shown there at your DNS provider, using each record's type, name, and value.
  4. After DNS propagates, select Check DNS until the domain shows Verified.
  5. Return to General, set the From address on that verified domain, and save it.

Managed domains use the platform's email provider, so no separate provider key is needed. DNS changes can take up to 48 hours. A verified domain must match the domain in the From address. The General page also has an I've verified this domain control for a domain you verified with your own provider; use the Email & phone Check DNS status for a platform-managed domain.

Use your own email provider

If managed email is unavailable or you prefer your own account, open Integrations → Email and connect Resend or SendGrid. Verify the sending domain with that provider and enter its verified From address in the integration. Workspace credentials take precedence over an agency-wide connection. See Integrationsfor connection scope and credential handling.

Get a workspace phone number

  1. Open Settings → Email & phone and find Get a phone number.
  2. Enter a two-letter Country code and, if useful, an Area code; select Find numbers.
  3. Choose an available number and select Use this number.
  4. Check that it appears under Your numbers as Live, then test an inbound and outbound SMS.

A managed number is provisioned to the workspace, with inbound SMS delivered to its Conversations inbox. If this setup is unavailable, connect your own Twilio account under Integrations → Messaging. Releasing a managed number sends it back to the carrier and may make it impossible to recover.
